St George's Church "Living Well" dementia support group

St George's Church warmly invite you to their new drop-in sessions in the Church hall for people with dementia and their carers.

The aim of this new group is to offer a relaxed environment where people with dementia and their carers can socialise whilst enjoying a variety of activities such as singing, gentle exercises, arts/crafts, quizzes and more.  Tea, Coffee and biscuits will be available.  There is no charge for the sessions but a small donation for refreshments would be appreciated.

Christmas Opening Times

The Surgery will close on Friday 23rd December at 6.30pm and re-open on Wednesday 28th December at 8am. We will then be closed on Monday 2nd January for the bank holiday.

If you require emergency care during this time the local GP NHS 111 Service is there to help you. Please dial 111. They will pass a message to the doctor who may phone you to assess your problem. You may be asked to attend the Out of Hours Clinic based in Macclesfield Hospital or receive a home visit.  Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

Whatever the time or day if you or someone else experiences severe chest pains, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest Accident & Emergency department or call 999.

North West of England Bowel Cancer Screening Campaign

Monday 9th January - Sunday 2nd April 2017

A regional Be Clear on Cancer campaign will launch across the North West of England on Monday 9th January 2017, aimed at increasing participation of 60 - 74 year olds in the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
